Man Injured In Defiance Crash, Alcohol Suspected (VIDEO)

DEFIANCE, Ohio (21Alive) – Defiance County Sheriffs say alcohol is suspected to have contributed to a crash in Defiance, Ohio that left one man seriously injured.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday on County Road 424 and Limbaugh Road in Delaware Township.

Defiance County Sheriffs say James A. Wolfrum, 28, of Ney, Ohio was driving eastbound when he went off the road and struck a guardrail. Wolfrum’s 1997 Ford Explorer skid on top of the guardrail and then flipped several times.

Wolfrum was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. Defiance County Sheriffs say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.

The crash remains under investigation.
