Man Sentenced To 15-Years After Beating Estranged Wife With Hammer (with Video)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for beating his estranged wife with a hammer.

Raul Garcia, 69, was arrested in July and held on an aggravated battery charge. He was later charged with attempted murder for having beaten Rebecca Garcia numerous times in the head with a hammer.

Garcia plead guilty to aggravated battery and was handed a 15-year sentence Monday morning. Rebecca Garcia has since recovered from the injuries.
