INDIANAPOLIS (RTV6) -- Marion County owes Allen County more than $25,000 for handling the criminal trial of ex-Indianapolis police officer David Bisard, according to a report released Wednesday.

The total bill came to $25,588.13.

About 73 percent of the money -- $18,592.58 -- went toward expenses for the jurors, including mileage, meals, lodging and per diems.

Bisard was sentenced to 13 years behind bars after an Allen County jury found him guilty of all nine charges lodged against him.

Bisard was found to be drunk when he crashed his patrol car into a group of motorcyclists in August of 2010, killing Eric Wells and gravely injuring Mary Mills and Kurt Weekly.
