McVan's Video Games Shutting Its Doors After 20 Years of Business

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne-based video game buy it- sell it- trade it chain is closing its doors after 20 years of business.

All three McVan’s locations in Fort Wayne are discounting their inventory as stores are expected to officially close next week.

McVan’s closure may be a sign of the times since the video game industry is shifting away from physical media and moving to a downloadable format. i.e. App Store/ Digital Market setting.

11 employees are expected to lose their jobs.
