HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A three-vehicle crash turns fatal causing several lane closures during Monday's morning commute.
The multi-vehicle crash happened at 6:04 a.m. Monday morning. 56-year-old Earl Harris of Urbana reportedly turned onto U.S. 24 from 750 West in Huntington County near Andrews and into the path of a 2006 Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, was unable to miss hitting the moped and as a result Harris spilled onto the roadway.
The driver of the Jeep exited her vehicle to check on Harris' condition. Once she returned to her Jeep, a semi then came down U.S. 24, clipped the Jeep, and ran over the moped and Harris. The semi then caught fire.
Harris was killed in the crash. No injuries were reported for both the driver of the Jeep and semi.
