Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - 25-year-old Shanna Vorndran wept in the courtroom Tuesday morning as she was handed a six-year prison sentence for two felony charges of neglect of a dependent.
She pleaded guilty to those two felony counts in January.
Vorndran was the mother of two young boys abused by Michael Combs.
As a part of a plea agreement, Vorndran testified against Combs in his sex abuse trial.
Vorndran apologized in a very short, tearful statement, but Judge Fran Gull followed that with a stern rebuke telling her she did “nothing” to protect her young children from Combs.
