FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The hogs were rolling Saturday as a local woman and Lucky Harley Davidson held a ride to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The ride was part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Woman of the Year” campaign, a ten-week-long campaign and fundraising competition where participants compete for the title of “man” or “woman of the year.”

Participants raise money in honor of local children who are fighting different forms of blood cancer.

Beth Schrader, a 16-year survivor of leukemia, is running on behalf of Greyson Snyder, a four-year-old who is currently fighting leukemia.

Schrader says the community's support for her and Greyson has been a fantastic experience.

“The community has really rallied around this whole campaign and we could not be more thankful for everything that is going on here. It really just brings back the goodness in people and reminds you of that. And you see this little guy and you realize why we do what we do, so it's been an amazing journey,” said Schrader referring to Greyson.

Schrader says she has six more fundraisers lined up and hopes to raise at least $175,000 with all proceeds going back to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
