Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Parking violators in Fort Wayne will have to dig deeper into their wallets, if a city ordinance change gets ratified by city council.
Fines for parking meter violations would double, going from $5 to $10.
Tickets that go unpaid for more than 30 days would increase from $10 to $20.
City officials say the change would bring Fort Wayne more in line with other Midwestern cities.
The measure will be introduced to council Tuesday, and could get voted on as early as next Tuesday.
