NEW HAVEN, Ind. (21Alive) -- While the Allen County Department of Health is not spraying for mosquitoes this year, the city of New Haven is taking matters into their own hands.

Weather permitting, the city will spray for mosquitoes Thursday, Aug. 29 starting at 8 p.m. around the Pinestone Addition in New Haven.

One-half block radius around the 9500 block of Fenwick Dr. will be the spray zone.

"To alleviate any concerns during this spraying period, we are asking residents to remain indoors while the spray crew is in your area," Mayor McDonald said.

If you don't want the trucks to spray in front of your house, please contact the Utility Department at 748-7056 before 4 p.m. Thursday.
