INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- According to reports coming out of Indianapolis, the bill to lift the ban on Sunday alcohol sales is dead at the Statehouse.
Retail and grocery stores wanted the ban lifted because they said there was $9 million in lost revenue and it would be more convenient for consumers.
Package store owners were fearful that lifting the ban would encourage consumers to purchase from retail chains during their weekly Sunday grocery trips and thus put them out of business.
WRTV-6 in Indianapolis confirmed this story with Representative Bill Davis of Portland.
