Northeast Indiana JAG Students Win 8 State Conference Awards

INDIANAPOLIS (21Alive) - Area Jobs For America's Graduates students took home a record number of awards at the annual JAG State Career Development Conference on Friday.

Region 3 (Northeast Indiana) took home eight 1st, 2nd or 3rd place awards in a host of categories. In all, students from 101 schools statewide in 12 different regions competed.

Career Presentation
1st Place: Emari Carroll, Marion High School
2nd Place: Cara Schaadt, Heritage High School

Public Speaking
2nd Place: Chanel Love, New Haven High School

Employability Skills
2nd Place: Grant Blauvelt, Heritage High School

Financial Literacy
2nd Place: Mariah Shakoor, New Haven High School

Critical Thinking
3rd Place: Rickira Junior, New Haven High School

Cover Design
1st Place: Danielle Kemerley, Garrett High School

Chapter Binder
2nd Place: Heritage High School
