FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- On Saturday, INC reported that the Subway robbery at Stellhorn and Maplecrest was linked to two other robberies. Now police have released the details of all three and need your help to find the robbing duo.

The first robbery was at the Burger Dairy, 1450 St. Joseph Blvd., just before 7 a.m. The store clerk reported that a black male came up to the front counter acting like he had a weapon in his hand and demanded money. As the clerk opened the register, he noticed that the robber was just holding what looked like a plastic bag.

With adrenaline pumping, the clerk made the split-second decision to close the cash drawer and grab the shotgun he keeps behind the counter. He then chased the would-be robber out of the store.

The suspect ran across the parking lot then east along Tennessee Avenue. The clerk said he then saw a maroon car quickly drive off from behind the store.

The second attempted robbery was at Subway, 6025 Stellhorn Rd., around 8:30 a.m. The employee was in the back when she heard the front door "ding," announcing someone walked in. When she came to the front, she saw a man rummaging behind the counter. She said his face was half covered.

The employee screamed and ran out the back door. In the back parking lot, she saw the get-away car with a second man at the wheel. When she ran back inside to call for help, the first would-be robber was gone. Nothing was missing from the cash register.

The third and final robbery was at Dollar General, 1133 N. Coliseum Blvd., around 10:15 p.m. Employees said a man came to the front register with what looked like some kind of weapon. They said he had a plastic bag over his hand as if he was trying to hide it.

The suspect demanded money and threatened to kill the clerk if he didn't get it. The third time must be the charm, because this time the robber ran off with a lump of cash. Witnesses said they saw a maroon car peel out of the store parking lot after the robber hopped in the passenger seat.

Based on significantly similar suspect and get-away car descriptions, investigators believe these three robberies are all connected and need your help to identify the robbers.

Suspect Description: Black male; last seen wearing a tan-colored jacket (possibly a Carhartt style jacket), jeans and white-colored shoes.

Suspect Vehicle: four-door, maroon-colored vehicle (possibly a Saturn), with a gray-colored rear bumper and Indiana plate.

Driver of Suspect Vehicle: Black male.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the City of Fort Wayne Police Department at 260 427-1222 or CrimeStoppers at 260 436-STOP, 260 436-7687. These robberies remain under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
