FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Allen County SPCA and the New Haven Police are searching for a suspect who committed an unspeakable act.

Three kittens were found stuffed in a large plastic bag in the middle of North River Rd. in new Haven Monday. The bag had been run over by a vehicle but a good Samaritan noticed the bag and rescued the lone survivor.

A seven-week-old kitten later named mercy was that lone survivor and is now residing in a foster home until she's ready for adoption.

The Allen County SPCA is still looking for the suspect who committed this cruel act to justice.
