Owners Of Neglected Horses Now Facing Animal Neglect Charges

WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) – The couple who are accused of neglecting 13 horses and ponies are now facing charges of animal neglect.

Authorities arrested 60-year-old James and 53-year-old Cynthia Mullins Wednesday morning, charging each with one count of Animal Neglect.

The charges stem from the removal of 13 horses and ponies from the Mullins’ property in Whitley County on August 4th.

Additionally, in 2005 the Mullins’ were convicted with neglect and abandonment of an animal.

Bond is set at $8,000 each and their next court date is August 16th.
