Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A man is behind bars after Fort Wayne Police say he robbed a bank with a gun and then ran through a nearby Target store. 19-year-old Davion Brown is now facing a felony robbery charge.

Police say the gun he was carrying when he robbed the Chase bank at Maplecrest and Stellhorn was a BB gun. The bank robbery happened around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

"He said excuse me, I'm feeling kinda generous today, here's some cash," said Hallie Richardson, witness. "He had cash in his hand, and something that looked like a piece of paper, I wasn't sure."

Hallie was inside the Target store and says Brown offered her a large amount of cash right before he was arrested.

"I said, 'No thank you,' and he shrugged his shoulders and said, 'Are you sure,' and I said, 'Yes thank you,' and he said, "Okay,' and walked away," said Richardson.

She wasn't sure why the man offered her money but momments later Hallie realized the man was wanted by police.

"The next thing I know, I heard the sheriffs screaming stop, halt, stop, the dogs and all the police officers were running through the store, and they took him down super fast," said Richardson.

It took between 10 and 15 minutes after the robbery for officers to find Brown. Police credit witnesses and 2 off-duty officers for helping find the man so quickly.
