Police Dog Credited For Finding Woman Involved In Crash

Steuben County, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Steuben County Police believe alcohol was involved in an early morning crash that left a Carmel woman injured.

Police were called to I-69 around 4 a.m. Friday on a report of an SUV had rolled over.

When they got there they could not locate a victim.

A K-9 unit was called, and Kash the police dog located 24-year old Tara Manard laying in a bean field.

Police say Manard was not ejected and left the vehicle on her own free will.

She was taken to the hospital complaining of head pain.
