Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting Incident

FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police need your help finding the gunman who shot 30-year-old Christopher LaJuan Smith, Senior early Sunday morning.

Smith remains in critical condition after being shot multiple times while walking along the 1700 block of East Wayne Street.

Witnesses say a beige or silver Cadillac was seen driving away from the area.

Police also found a gun near the scene.

Fort Wayne Police are investigating an early morning shooting incident that left one person in critical condition.

Police were called to the 1700 block of East Wayne Street.

When they arrived they found a man suffering from a bullet wound.

It was later determined that the victim was walking in the area when he was shot.

Witnesses tell police a Cadillac beige or silver in color was seen backing up and away from the area shortly after the shooting.

At this time no arrest have been made.
