Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A new federally-funded program is helping thousands of veterans find good paying jobs and one local college campus is helping get the word out.
National College on North Clinton is helping unemployed veterans get into this new program.
Wednesday they held two informational sessions to help unemployed veterans in our area.
The new Veterans Retraining Assistance Program is funded through the VA.
The program will give 99,000 veterans without work a chance to train for a new career.
Over 12 months they can get $17,000 toward the cost of their education.
But time is of the essence. The first round of this program wraps up next month.
