FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – ClickHop 106.3FM is offering to pay people’s child support for Father’s Day.

To all the dads out there, Father’s Day is around the corner, what would you like to receive? A new watch? Tickets to a game? Or how about having someone else pay your child support?

That's what ClickHop 106.3FM is doing to promote Father’s Day. If you've been listening, you've probably heard the commercials offering to pay child support.

Colin Shaughnessy, Content Director for ClickHop, says they'll only pay for one month, but over 100 people have already signed up and more are pouring in every day. Shaughnessy says it might seem a little weird to some people, but they're not trying to “bail out” deadbeat dads.
Instead, they're really looking to help the children.

“I understand some people might think oh you’re going to help out a deadbeat dad, but really when you think about the promotion, what it’s doing is helping out the children. When we give money to one of these dads and then they apply it towards those children, we’re helping those children out,” said Shaughnessy.

Shaughnessy says there are no qualifications and no limit on how much child support they’ll pay. In fact, people have requested anywhere from $200 to $2,000 in child support payments. Shaughnessy says the goal is to help as many families as the station budget allows.
