FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The average electricity bill for an Indiana Michigan customer could jump by $20.00 a month if the utility gets an increase it's asking for.
I&M wants to raise rates to help cope with increasing operating costs. They're proposing raising the rates by 22%.
For the typical ratepayer, that's an increase of $20.00 a month.
Commissioners and I&M officials will not be able to answer any questions but the public is invited to submit their oral and written comments about the rate increase.
