FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- The Allen County police are investigating a report of a man impersonating an officer.

According to police a woman says she was stopped by a white car with red and blue lights on I-69 at Dupont Rd. March 23rd.

The suspect believed to be a young male Hispanic had a clipboard in his hand and was wearing an unidentifiable uniform.

The woman told police the alleged impersonator approached her vehicle and stated that her license plate was expired. Then he tried to coax her out of the vehicle to show her the plate, she refused and took off.

Allen County police say at this time the suspect description does not match the description given out by Parkview Hospital Security earlier this week and went viral on the internet.
