Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - On Saturday the Rescue Mission's Treasure House had a grand re-opening.

Treasure House, formerly Bargains Galore, is a thrift store serving the Renaissance Point Community.

The store has a newly expanded shopping area, new management and a new welcoming children's mural.

Volunteers put in a lot of hard work to make the re-opening possible.

Treasure House Manager Melissa Dammeyer says, “We look at this place as a ministry to the community. We have made friends with so many people around here. And they come in two, three times a week just to see us. And they come in just to show. Even when we were closed, they were coming in to visit."

Treasure House's re-opening celebration will continue all week long.

Store hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
