INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indianapolis is going into full-on Super Bowl mode with the big game coming to the city in almost two weeks.
Several busy downtown Indianapolis streets are closing, which will likely cause significant traffic backups for the next couple weeks.
The closures are in preparation for the opening of the Super Bowl Village next weekend and of course Super Bowl 46 at Lucas Oil Stadium on February 5th.
Traffic will also have a bit of a different look throughout Indianapolis.
Indy racing cars, painted in the colors and logos of each NFL team, will first go on display in the city's downtown area next Friday to show off the state's racing history.
The cars will later be spread out across Indianapolis and in other areas around the state.
