Ronald McDonald House Begins New Fundraising Campaign

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Ronald McDonald House of Northeast Indiana announced that it has begun a fundraising campaign to expand and move to the Parkview Regional Medical Center in the fall of 2012.

The $2 million expansion project will grow the Ronald McDonald House to nearly 9,000 square feet with 10 sleeping rooms for families.

Hosting nearly 1,000 families a year, the new Ronald McDonald House will be located on the first floor of the Parkview Regional Medical Center keeping parents close to their loved ones in the pediatrics, pediatric intensive care and newborn intensive care units.

Guest families will be able to relax in the home-like setting of the Ronald McDonald House, which will feature a large gathering room with private sitting area, kitchen and large family-style dining room, library with reading nook and computers, as well as a laundry room and night snack room.
