FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – To get rid of or not to get rid of collective bargaining?
The question remains on whether collective bargaining should be eliminated for city unions.

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, attorneys Tim Pape and Mark GiaQuinta presented on behalf of Mayor Tom Henry and the unions—both oppose the proposed ordinances to rid negotiating options.

Councilman Dr. John Crawford also gave his PowerPoint presentation on why the issue should be considered.

Council will continue their discussion next Tuesday and possibly make a final decision that night.

To hear what was said during the presentations, watch the video.

Also of note, City Council unanimously approved $5 million in Legacy Funds to go towards the parking garage part of the Ash Brokerage project.
