Scammers Use President Obama's Name to Obtain Personal Information

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A scam is going on around the Fort Wayne area.

The Better Business Bureau is receiving calls from consumers who are being told that President Obama is helping pay utility bills.

The information is showing up on social media, fliers and text messages.

The scammers ask for social security and bank routing numbers. If you receive any of these calls, you're asked to call to not give out any information and contact the BBB at 423-4433.
