Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Science Central is offering a range of week-long and day camps for children this summer.

Kids ages three to 13 can come out to Science Central for a hands-on learning experience. Each day the camp will be offering new science experiments.

Monday’s theme was amusement park science where children got the chance to test out the friction of the slide and toy robots.

Special Programs Manager Kathy Larsen said science camps like these help keep kids' brains stay active throughout the summer and prepares them for the upcoming school year.

“There's learning involved in this even though the kids don't realize it because they're having so much fun,” Larsen said.

Camp openings are still available.
