FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Gary Golay, the semi-truck driver charged in the 2012 fatal crash on US 30 that killed a 4-year-old child, pleaded guilty this morning.

The crash happened in 2012 when the semi-truck Golay was driving slammed into four cars stopped at a red light. Four people were injured and a 4-year-old girl was killed. The truck's blackbox showed that Golay did not attempt to brake as he approached the light.

Golay pleaded guilty to reckless homicide and several county of criminal recklessness.

As part of his plea deal, Golay will receive a suspended prison sentence in exchange for home detention and probation. He will also have his license suspended for five years.
