Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) – The Fort Wayne Police Department has released the names of the two victims injured during Thursday nights shooting in the 4800 block of Gaywood Dr.
3-year-old Kenaveya Williams remains in critical condition and 18-year-old Quantae A. Jackson was last listed in fair condition. Both remain at a local hospital.
Around 9:30 Thursday night, Fort Wayne police responded to a shooting on the 4800 block of Gaywood Drive.
When police arrived on the scene they found a little girl, Williams, and an adult male, Jackson, with gunshot wounds. Police say Williams was shot in the abdomen and Jackson in his leg. Both were transported to a local hospital.
Police say that the shooting could be gang-related. At the time, police say a group of people were standing in a yard around the intersection of Gaywood Ave. and E. Maple Grove Ave., when a group of males approached them and began shooting.
Police are still investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Wayne Police or Crime Stoppers.
