FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - New information about the weekend shooting that left dozens of parents and children running for cover at Memorial Park Middle School.
Police think one of the shooters worked for Metro Youth Sports, INC, they were hosting a youth football game when shots were fired.
Police arrested 18-year old Calvin Bracey for possession of marijuana and resisting law enforcement.
Police say Bracey got into a fight, and then he and two people in a blue and gray van began shooting at each other. Officers caught Bracey after he ran.
“We believe that he was employed by the organization there and was doing odd jobs for them when he became involved in a fist fight,” Officer Raquel Foster with the Fort Wayne Police Department said. “We're not certain with who. But, witnesses did report a fist fight during the game.”
Bracey is out on more than $3,000 bond.
No one was injured.
Police need your help finding the two people in the blue and grey van. If you have any information call Fort Wayne Police at 260-427-1201.
