Six teenagers are injured, one critically, after a late night crash in Muncie.

Just after 11:00pm, the six teens were riding in an SUV when the vehicle left the road and slammed into a pole on the city's southeast side.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation, but Delaware County police say the road that the teens were driving on has many hills and curves. Police think the winding roads may have contributed to the crash.

A resident heard the crash and called 911. One of the teens was flown to a local hospital in critical condition. The others were taken to another hospital in stable condition.

The teenagers ranged in age from 14 to 18.
