ANGOLA, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Police in Steuben County are warning motorists to watch out for icy on roads and highways this morning.
The slick conditions led to a couple of seriouss crashes overnight.
Officials say a Fort Wayne woman, Dawn Reynolds, lost control of her car while passing a semi on U.S. 20 near the I-69 exit shortly before 11PM. Her car hit the back tires of the semi, then spun off the highway and into a road sign. She was hospitalized to be treated for neck pain.
Then about a half hour later, a Michigan man lost control of his pickup truck on ice on I-69 at the CR 200 W bridge. Firefighters had to free him from the vehicle. He was hospitalized for leg and back pain.
But ice isn't the only problem. Thick fog has descended on the area, making driving difficult from Wells and Adams Counties, in Allen County and up into the Churubusco area. Several area school systems are delayed this morning.
