Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Early Tuesday morning, fire crews battled a blaze at a home just south of downtown Fort Wayne for more than an hour.
They were called to the scene at Home and Indiana avenues just before 4:30 a.m.
Witnesses could see flames and smoke spewing out of the two-story house.
No one was in the home at the time, but one firefighter was slightly hurt and had to be taken to the hospital to be checked out.
It's not clear what sparked the fire, but crews worked feverishly to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby houses.
