INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) - Isaiah Townsend ran for 187 yards and two touchdowns and Drake Christen ran for one score and passed for another as Lawrence Central roared past Snider 39-14 Saturday night to win the Indiana 5A state football title.
The Bears broke open a close game in the second half after Snider got on the board just before halftime to pull within a touchdown at 14-7.
Snider's Brandon Phelps passed for 196 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice and lost a fumble.
Tyrell Swain added the other Panther toutchdown in the third quarter.
Lawrence Central ends a perfect 15-0, Snider finishes 14-1.
