Some Felons Are No Longer Welcome In State Prisons

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Starting in July, the DOC will no longer be housing class D felons, but that may cause some budget and overcrowding issues here in Allen County.

In efforts to reduce overcrowding and cut costs any D-felon who is sentenced to 90 days or less will not be accepted to the Department of Corrections in Indiana.
