INDIANAPOLIS (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - An Indiana Senate Committee has advanced a bill that would tighten the restrictions on abortions in the Hoosier state.
The measure would ban abortions after the 20th week of pregnancy unless there is a threat to the woman's health.
The committee removed the provision that would require women seeking the procedure be told that they face a greater risk of breast cancer.
The bill now goes to the full Senate.
