INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Indiana State Board of Education plans on taking a closer look at bullying in schools.

According to officials, there were almost 9,400 reports of bullying last year. And that number could be low since many school districts are still catching up to the mandates in the new law. The CDC ranks the Hoosier state third in the nation when it comes to school bullying.

It is estimated one in four children are bullied at school.
