Steuben County Man Collides With Woman Walking On Side of Road

Steuben County (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - At about 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Steuben County, 36-year-old Brett Baugher hit a woman who was walking on the side of the road.

Baugher, from Pleasant Lake, was heading south on Grapevine Road towards County Road 700 S. when he tried to pour a cup of coffee from a thermos. As he did that, he hit 32-year-old Becky Young of Ashley.

Samaritan flew her to a Fort Wayne hospital with head and leg injuries.

There's no information about whether Baugher will face charges.
