String Of Stolen Vehicles In Steuben County Raises Alert

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Police are on the lookout for possible suspects in Steuben County after a string of vehicle thefts in the County Road 300 and 400 North areas between State Road 127 and 600 East..

Sine June 1st, five vehicles have been stolen. Three of these thefts occurred the night of June 11th. The vehicles targeted have been pickup trucks. The thieves have been seeking vehicles that are unlocked and have keys either in the vehicle or hidden inside. All items of value were stolen from the vehicles.

The vehicles targeted have been pickup trucks and all the stolen vehicles have been recovered, after being driven a short distance and then abandoned.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department urges citizens to take precaution during the evening and nighttime hours, and to report and suspicious activity.
