FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- The fourth annual Tea House Gathering fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity brought together more than 300 women and little girls Sunday.
The ladies, young and old alike, gathered for tea and crumpets and a Matilda Jane fashion show.
There was also a table decorating contest and silent auction, all to raise money for Habitat's Women Build in the fall.
The Women Build is an all-female effort to construct a home from top to bottom for a local family in need.
"Oh, it's just about giving back and you always get back more than what you give," Laurie Brumbaugh of Habitat for Humanity told 21Alive. "It just always works that way and you don't know why, but it just happens and it really--the thing about Habitat is you see a tangible difference in a very short period of time."
All the proceeds will benefit the Women Build house and Brumbaugh said she hoped Sunday's event will raise $60,000, enough to build a home.
