FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The body of a Fort Wayne teenager missing since Friday was found Sunday afternoon in an Aboite Township pond.
Allen County police and Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers were called to the 200 block of River Rock Pass, after a body was found floating in a pond in the Hamilton Meadows addition.
The 16-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known how long he was in the water.
Authorities would not say why the boy went missing Friday, but did say he did not live in the neighborhood.
It is not know if foul play, alcohol or other drugs were factors in his death.
While it is suspected the teen drowned, the Allen County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
