FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Many of us would agree it takes special hearts to be foster parents.

Meet two of those hearts from Fort Wayne in my special report, "The Extra Mile."

Angela and Isaac Arambula of Fort Wayne have been married 17 years.

They have four children of their own but wanted to help others. So, they became foster parents of special needs children and have welcomed 60 into their home and their hearts over the past decade.

Angela stays home so she can care for the children and get them to their doctor's appointments. She's also a member of the Foster Parent Association in Allen County and helps train other families to do what she and her husband do.

Isaac works full-time and often overtime to provide for his family but also helps out a lot at home.

He's a little league coach to his and to other children. Together, they make a big difference in a lot of lives.

Angela Arambula says, " I knew it was something I really wanted to do so we started going to classes and got foster kids right away."

Isaac Arambula says, " We kind of thought we were just gonna focus on our own kids, and we started helping our friends who'd been doing it for years, and I thought it was pretty neat and decided to give it a shot. There's been several that have kind of touched our family pretty well, you know, over the years. I feel we're giving back to the community, you know, it's the least that we could do."

Angela says, " A lot of our friends, you know, say we couldn't do your job, but somebody has to do it. We have a relationship with some of the kids and the parents now, and it's so nice. The kids need a stable environment so their parents can get back on their feet."

The person who nominated them didn't want their name to be made public but wanted you to know about this couple!

My thanks to Angela and Isaac. What amazing people!
