Indianapolis (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Indiana State Police are looking for the person responsible for stealing a portion of the State Fair rigging being stored in a warehouse.

The theft happened this past weekend.

Police say cables from the rigging were taken by thieves who appeared to be looking for scrap metal.

The cables were being stored as evidence, along with other debris from the collapsed rigging, at a warehouse in Indianapolis as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators say electrical wiring from the warehouse that is not related to the State Fair investigation was also stolen.
