ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (21Alive) - Now that Christmas is over, you'll have a few weeks to recycle your Christmas tree in Allen County.

The Solid Waste District will open up several drop-off sites in Ft. Wayne and throughout the county.

The Ft. Wayne sites are Foster Park West, the Foellinger Theatre parking lot, McMillen Park at the pool parking lot, Republic Services compost site on MacBeth Rd.and the County Highway Garage on Carroll Rd.

Three sites are open in New Haven. They are on the north side of City Hall, Jury Park and the Meadowbrook School parking lot.

There will also be a site in Woodburn on Front Street under the water tower and at the Monroeville compost site on Utility Dr.

The tree drop-off sites will be open through January 10.

Remember, the trees can't have ornaments or decorations or plastic bags on them and wreaths will not be accepted.

More information can be found on the Solid Waste District's site.
