Truck Falls Off Embankment Landing Head First Into Trees

South Bend, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A man is hospitalized after crashing his pickup truck into a group of trees near South Bend.

The crash happened around 2 a.m. on Friday.

Officials say the red dodge pickup truck flew off of an embankment and went head first into a group of trees.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to get the man out of the truck.

Officials believe speed was a factor in the crash.
