FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- No prison time for a trucker whose crash killed a little girl.

Gary Golay, 56, wept through his sentencing today. He was in court to be sentenced for a crash that happened in July of 2012 that resulted in the death of a 4-year-old girl, Abigail Little. Golay was speeding and never hit the brakes when he plowed into several cars that were stopped at a red light on U.S. 30 at Kroemer Rd.

Abigail little was on of the passengers of those cars. She was returning home from the Fort Wayne Zoo where she was celebrating her 5th birthday. An investigation into the crash found that Golay falsified his log books and that he hadn't taken the required rest breaks in the two days before the crash.

Despite the agony the family of Abigail little was feeling, they asked for and signed a plea agreement that kept Golay out of prison.
