Goshen, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - According to the Elkhart Truth, two northern Indiana men were arrested and charged for breaking the county’s ban by shooting off fireworks. If lighting the firework wasn’t bad enough, the firework started a grass fire.

Goshen police say the fire spread across four yards Wednesday before firefighters were able to put it out. Luckily no building damage or injuries were reported.

Neighborhood residents told officers that the grass fire had been sparked by people who had been lighting fireworks at an Independence Day gathering. Officers then arrested the 25-year-old and 29-year-old men on misdemeanor charges of violating an emergency order.
