FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting on the city’s south side with reports that two individuals were injured in the shooting.

Two shootings in two days. The latest shooting happened Wednesday afternoon and two adult males were taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

It happened in the 4100 block of Avondale Drive on the city's south side around 3 p.m. Fort Wayne Police say two adult male victims were shot while walking toward their house. Shots were fired from a light-colored car that pulled up behind them. The victims were hit, and the car fled the scene.

Police say they have no details on who was inside the car. They also say they're unsure of how many shots were fired, but multiple shell casings were found at the scene.

Police say they don't know whether it was one person or multiple people inside the car shooting. As for a motive, police say they haven't had a chance to speak with victims about what happened. Currently officers are in the process of looking for witnesses who can share those details and any information about the suspects or car. The investigation is on-going.
