FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Two men were taken to the hospital after both men were shot in separate incidents over the weekend.

Police learned of the first victim when staff from an area hospital contacted police in regards to a shooting victim. According to the responding officer, the victim was being treated for a gunshot wound to the foot, when the officer arrived. Police believe the victim may have been the target of a gang shooting when he was walking from a friends house on Lillie St.

Officers responded to a separate incident in the 2700 block of Schaper Dr. in regards to another shooting incident. When police arrived they found a man laying in the driveway with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police say the victim was standing outside a house when a passing car opened fire and struck the man in the leg.

Both investigations are still ongoing.
