(Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The head of Indiana's National Guard, Adjutant General Martin Umbarger, could be in hot water after endorsing the Indianapolis-based Christian non-profit Centurion's Watch.
In a 30-second video, Umbarger urges viewers to donate to the faith-based group, whose focus is building strong military families by keeping them together.
A retired Air Force lawyer, who spoke to the Huffington Post, said the video "Blatantly violated a slew of eithics and conflict of interest regulations, directives and instructions".
A watchdog group says this is a violation of the separation of church and state.
